Updated: Apr 9, 2024

London is in Tier 3 which is not the news that any of us wanted to hear, what does Tier 3 mean?

  1. Hospitality venues will have to close, except for delivery and takeaway service.

  2. Hotels and other accommodation providers must also close.

  3. Shops are allowed to remain open if they are Covid-secure and can be accessed from the street, otherwise they must close.

  4. London’s hairdressers, beauty salons, tattoo parlours, nail salons, and spas can remain open under the new rules.

Tier 3 is not as strict as it has previously been with some shops, gyms and hairdressers remaining open, and the possibility of restrictions easing over the Christmas period. We hope this will have less of a negative impact on Ride-Hailing drivers as the previous Tier 3 lockdowns have had.

NEWS FLASH

YOU CAN NOW APPLY FOR THE SEISS GRANT

Self-Employed workers can now claim the grant and receive up to £2,500/month.

This grant is more accessible than you may think, we asked over 300 Ride-Hailing drivers and 49% had claimed the grant during the 1st lockdown. The majority had received between £1,000-£3,000 but 10% received in the top bracket of £5,000-£7,500!

WeFlex love to hear from you, if you have any questions please call us on 020 8033 8713.

Stay safe, Team WeFlex

The Tier 3 update certainly brings challenges, but it’s encouraging to see some businesses like hairdressers and salons remaining open. For those considering ways to boost their confidence, services like scalp micropigmentation for men offer a transformative solution, even during uncertain times.
