BP Pulse has recently opened a state-of-the-art EV charging hub at its retail location near Stansted Airport, making Stansted airport drop-offs more convenient for PCO drivers.
This new hub, located just five minutes from the airport, is equipped with ultra-rapid 300kW chargers that can power up two vehicles simultaneously, offering a total of six charging bays. This makes it an ideal stop for PCO drivers who need a quick and efficient charge before continuing their journey.
Situated off the A120, the hub also offers access to on-site amenities, including BP’s Wild Bean Cafe and an M&S Simply Food store, making it a convenient stop for refreshments and essentials.
Akira Kirton, CEO of BP Pulse UK, commented on the launch, saying, “This new charging hub is a testament to our commitment to expanding the UK's EV infrastructure. Its strategic location near Stansted Airport ensures that travellers and taxi drivers have access to quick and convenient charging options.”
BP Pulse is actively expanding its charging network across the UK, with over 150 of its retail sites already equipped with charging bays. However, the company acknowledges ongoing challenges such as securing high-power grid connections and obtaining planning permissions, which continue to impact the rollout of EV infrastructure.
