REVIEW – Kia Soul

Overall Experience

The Kia Soul EV was fantastic to drive. This car would be an ideal vehicle for any private hire driver, as it is spacious, easy to drive as well as fun and luxurious. The exterior design is probably not to everyone’s liking but once inside the Soul and bear in mind the huge cost saving benefits, it more than makes up for it.

Performance & Drive

The technology in the car was very advanced and made the experience of driving a new car for the first time easy and enjoyable. The drive was smooth and but very punchy, while the steering was light and easy. The regenerative braking of the car was a great feature, it really helps get the very most out of the range of the car. The 3 modes of regenerative braking means everyone can find a setting they are comfortable with.

Interior

The leather interior and the advanced technology in the car made the car feel very luxurious. All the passengers commented on the sleek looks. The navigation system was very reliable, while the lane assist and blind spot warnings were extremely helpful when driving on dual carriage ways.

Passenger & Bootspace

The car was spacious and had room for all the family. Three passengers were over 6ft and all fit in without any complaints, they also found the Soul to be very comfortable. The boot was a good size and would be more than capable of being used for airport drop offs.

Charging & Range

I only had the Soul for one evening but did around 60 miles in the car. Thankfully, with a range of 280 miles charging was not a worry nor an issue.
