Vmoto has announced a strategic international partnership with Uber, aiming to significantly accelerate the adoption of electric mobility in urban areas across Europe. This collaboration represents a major step forward in the push toward sustainable transport, with the ambitious goal of transitioning 100,000 Uber riders to electric scooters and motorcycles by 2030.
A Shared Vision for Cleaner Cities
The partnership is designed to make electric two-wheel transport more accessible for Uber's broad network of riders, rental companies, and fleet operators. Vmoto will offer exclusive incentives across its range of electric scooters—including the Vmoto CPx, currently the most popular electric scooter model in London and already well-established in several other European cities.
This effort supports a shared vision between the two companies: a shift toward smarter, cleaner, and more efficient urban mobility systems tailored to the needs of gig economy workers.
Seven Cities Leading the Way
The rollout will begin in seven key European cities:
Amsterdam
Berlin
Brussels
Lisbon
London
Madrid
Paris
In these cities, Uber riders will gain access to special offers on electric vehicles, as well as discounts on maintenance and charging services, through partnerships with companies such as Zenion, Zoomo, RideToday, MOEV, and Nuuk Mobility.
Piloting Europe's First Battery Swapping Network
As part of the partnership, Vmoto and Uber are also collaborating on Europe’s first pilot battery-swapping network for electric scooters, set to launch in London. This initiative aims to reduce charging downtime and improve operational efficiency for riders by offering faster, more convenient charging alternatives.
