How To Earn More Money As An Uber Driver

How To Earn More As An Uber Driver

Been an Uber Partner driver can be lucrative if you have the know how. With a little knowledge and planning, you can increase your weekly take home pay without having to resort to a 65-hour working week. So, how is this possible as an Uber driver in London?

The Uber Insights Tool

The answer is to use the Uber Insights Tool together with your partner app. It will help you plan your trips so that you get the most out of your time and pick up fares in busy areas. The tool will show you where the busiest predicted areas are in London, 7 days a week, 24 hours of the day.

The tool is very easy to use. If you want to zoom in or out of a particular area, you simply use your fingers to pinch the screen. Or, use the zoom buttons which are in the upper left hand corner. There’s also a button at the bottom of the tool which lets you check out the different hours and days of the week.

Red For Go

The tool shows the busiest areas in red, for high predicted demand, yellow for medium predicted demand and green for average predicted demand. By waiting in the red area for example, you should be able to pick up fares, faster which means less waiting time.

It’s also a great tool to use after you have dropped off a ride, or you are planning your work for the week ahead. After a drop-off, instead of staying in that area and waiting for another fare, check Uber Insights. You can see if there are any areas that are busier than the one you’re in. If there is a busier area not too far away, you can make your way to it, use your partner app and quickly find another fare.

Plan Your Week

Planning your week with the Uber Insights tools will help you see what times are the busiest. For example, if you usually work at the weekends from 6pm to 1am, check the Uber Insights tool. It shows you that it’s actually busier from 8pm to 3am. You can therefore change your working hours and start 2 hours later. It doesn’t mean you are doing more hours, but it does mean you may pick up more fares and earn more money.

Pick Your Areas

During the week, the busiest areas during the day are usually in central London, places like Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus are good places to pick up tourists. Old Broad Street, Soho, or Gresham Street and anywhere in the EC2, EC3 and EC4 areas are where you will find office and bank workers. Train and tube stations are also good places to pick up rides.

If you work weekend evenings, look for the districts with plenty clubs and bars. Shoreditch, Clapham, Brixton and Elephant and Castle are popular destinations for a night out. An evening shift will probably start at 6pm and finish at 3am.

If you’re looking for surge fares, the information isn’t available from the Insights tool unfortunately. You will need to get this from your partner app.
